Help on: lag
| Syntax: | lag [<seconds>] |
| Level: | any |
| Minimum: | lag |
If Ishar is unable to send output to your client for a while due to intermittent glitches your Internet connection, you obviously can't see whats going on in the game and can't react to it.
To protect you when this happens, Ishar can disconnect you from the game, causing your character to become invisible and attempt to flee from combat. This command enables or disables this function or can set the lag timeout to a particular value.
Note that the game will ignore this setting for the first minute after logging in to keep it from getting too annoying. This means you won't be protected by it until you've been on for a minute. You might not want to jump into combat right away when you connect.
When it kicks you off, it will ask if you want to reconnect. If you type `y', it puts you back into the game with no further hassle. If you get disconnected somehow or get impatient and close the window, you will need to log in again; doing so very often, however, may cause you to have to wait a few minutes before playing.
