Help on: inns
Players who wish to keep their equipment when they leave the game must rent a room from an inn. The cost of a day's rent varies greatly, depending on the value of the player's equipment. After all, the innkeeper has bills to pay too.
When you return, the innkeeper charges you for your stay. If you cannot afford to pay with coins, the innkeeper takes treasure or even equipment as payment. First treasure in your inventory, then in what you are wearing, then other items in your in inventory, and finally your equipment is sold to pay your debt. The order of sale depends on two factors: the deeper something is nestled in bags, the earlier it is sold--the stuff you use every day is on the top level and are sold last. For things on the same level, the less expensive items are sold before more expensive ones.
*** WARNING ***
If you are MORTAL and you use 'quit' to leave the game, your inventory and equipment are removed and left behind. You MUST rent a room at an inn to keep your belongings.
